Crank Up the Music or Turn It Down Low ~ Heal the Heart & Feed the Soul

musicnotewithheart

Hey, I have  some rockin’ news to share about music.  Did you know that recent studies reveal that listening to favorite songs can lower blood pressure, reduce heart rate, and help with coronary heart disease, not to mention many other positive effects it can project to our souls?

Think of the health/mental advantages this news has in store as long as we don’t continue to recycle the same songs over and over.  We do need to switch our music around or many positive advantages could lose their effect.  We don’t want life getting ho-hum, do we?

Plus, we’ve always heard that laughing and having a pet nearby have calming tendencies.  But, think how much simpler it is in not having to change cat boxes or walk a dog.  We can just put our favorite song in the player and take off to that enchanted dance floor in our minds and come back in a very short time or spend as much time as we want listening to favorite tunes.  The possibilities are endless, especially if we decide to add some movement with dance steps here and there.

It was a joke about skipping the unconditional love and healing qualities that pets bring to our lives ~ by all means adopt a pet too.  It is nice to know about new health-benefit packages that can be unwrapped and apparently the gifts available are numerous.

We are all aware of the ripple effects an act of kindness can have on our lives.  It is amazing how acts of kindness not only affect the receiver, but the giver, and people looking in.  It strengthens the immune system as well as raising happy chemicals in the brain.

I joined a familiar social site several years back and was a fuddy-duddy for the longest time in not wanting to get involved.  Eventually I got my site set up with beautiful graphics and learned quickly about the available benefits to spectacular music.

What a blessing it has been to finally catch up on new music; but it took some stretching outside the box.  Often, when one gets wrapped up in career and work, we soon lose touch with a lot of important things and stress can become a substitute partner.  The variety of music experienced at this social site has brought much added spice to my life.

Several years ago, I got involved with classical music by virtue of receiving four cassettes at Christmas as a gift.  This music was arranged magnificently and heightened my creative skills to the point where I was constantly discovering new aspects of art.

I’ve never had such intense creative stimulation since that period in time when artists from another century made introductions into my life.  I hope this to be a friendly persuasion to take a chance with any kind of uplifting music.  There are so many types of music that can influence us in a positive way and believe classical music to be a spiritual experience and, hey, I am in no way opposed to a country tune.

Tell me about your favorite music and how it moves you.

Thank you for reading and sharing.  Have a fabulous day.  Be sure to lighten up because the world needs our smiles.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I do so love music too and believe it and love are the languages of the universe. I guess Plato thought a lot of it as well (smile) and it not only giving soul to the universe but it being moral law as well….his quote is above!
